Black Rhino has teamed up with Outlook Festival to launch the Black Rhino x Outlook Festival DJ Competition.
Outlook Festival is one of the leading bass music festivals in Europe. With strong roots in sound system culture, the festival’s selection of artists and sound systems is outstanding. From reggae to grime, any bass music lover can call Outlook Festival home. If you want to win the chance to play there, read on.
We have also made a partnership with Mixcloud so that all entries are hosted on the platform special competition page.

The Brief:
We are asking Romanian DJs and Selectors to create a mix of 45-60 minutes around genres like Reggae, Dub, Dubstep, Drum and Bass or Jungle. We’re not focused on your capacity as a DJ – the most important factor will be track selection and the overall atmosphere of your mix.
Be as creative as you can, use old tracks, dubplates or future releases. We are looking for original mixes crafted with a passion for bass music culture.

Prizes:
First prize:
60 minutes set time at one of Outlook Festival stages
100 euros fee on behalf of Outlook Festival.
1 x camping ticket
200 euros support for transportation on behalf Black Rhino Music
Second prize:
1 x ticket to Outlook Festival
1 x gig at a future Black Rhino Music event

How To Enter:
Record a mix of 45 minutes in length (minimum).
Name the mix “Black Rhino x Outlook DJ Competition: Your mix title“
Tag your mix “Black Rhino x Outlook DJ Competition “. If you fail to tag the mix correctly, your entry may be missed.
Add the full track listing in the typical Mixcloud format: Track Number – Artist – Track Title
Send us a link to your mix at info@blackrhinomusic.ro with the subject “Black Rhino x Outlook DJ Competition: Your Mix Title “.
Deadline for entries is 10th August 2017. We will announce the winner no later than 17th of August.

Judging:
Entrants will be judged according to their music selection, originality and creativity. The judging will be undertaken by members of Black Rhino Music. All genres that fit the Outlook Festival sound are welcomed.
