The ambient, experimental duo Makunouchi Bento from Timisoara just released their latest - and shortest - EP, Stray Beads. 4 x 80 seconds tracks, recently made for the “Mixage Fou édition #10” contest. 100% heavily processed field recordings, mixed in stereo and binaural (3D sound).

To get the best out of it, they don’t recommend streaming from Bandcamp. Download the EP for full audio quality (24bit, 48kHz), and use a good pair of headphones - the songs were written for headphones! While you listen the Ep be sure to read the nice story written by Felix Petrescu. The story comes in a pdf format with the downloaded tracks. Artwork was designed by Santiago J. Franzani.

What’s it like to live in the vast musical universe of Gaudi?

Andrei Bucureci - May 16, 2020

With a strong career spanning over three decades, experimenting with electronic music, reggae, psychedelic, dub, and world-music, Gaudi is a truly innovative artist. Fascinated by synthesizers and sound-distortion of any kind, Gaudi’s motivation to pursue his music career started in the early ’80s.
