Black Rhino Residency X Rapture Records is bringing the bass back to Control Club this Saturday, with a stellar line-up of jungle royalty : legends The Untouchables & Djinn, with romanian support from Maica-ta, hosted by the one and only MC Chikaboo.

We open the new season of our residence series at Control Club with a bass music line-up that brings forth one of the power figures in the industry - Sicaria, seconded by local DJs and radio broadcasters noidzsh and shiv.

Experiments in Dub ends the summer at Platforma Wolff with its last session on the terrace by inviting the dub producer, DJ and bass music general, Radikal Guru, along with the local fellow radio broadcasters Maică-ta and Riddim Bandits Crew.

With summer already here, Experiments in Dub continues its journey of dub experiments and explorations at Platforma Wolff on Fri. July 14th for session #3, establishing a connection with the French scene and inviting Weeding Dub with a live mixing set.

We meet again at Control Club for a special edition of Black Rhino Residency! Mixing oldschool and contemporary, local and across the borders, this genre-bending summer session brings in the booth Djrum, Vlad DobrecuMeelouna. One of the most exciting producers to come out of UK electronic scene in recent years, Djrum boasts pure production talent, informed by club styles such as techno, garage, and jungle, as well as his background in jazz and classical music. Serving complementary styles for a dancefloor-ready night, local support comes from veteran Vlad Dobrescu and disco darling Meelouna.

With Summer in sight, Experiments in Dub returns to Platforma Wolff on Saturday, May 20th, for session #2. This time we are connecting with the Italian scene and inviting Turin-based sound system operators Babe Roots accompanied by MC Galas. The session occurs outdoors, with local support from Dubik and Low Freq.

Time for the monthly rendez-vous, Black Rhino Radio Residency at Club Control, kicking it this time amongst a ladies-only lineup: Darwin, Alexandra & Ana Satana. It’s set to be a proper rave, as Canadian-born & Berlin-based Darwin brings her signature style of bleeding edge UK sound system music to the table. She is the founder of the 24-hour rave series REEF & label owner at SPE:C. Sharing decks with Darwin are local darlings & fellow radio broadcasters Alexandra & Ana Satana, going through their plentiful bags of genre-bending sonic treasures. Mark the date, cross-out any other plans and join the dancefloor!

An electrifying dance storm is on the making as we get ready for our 5th Residency at Control Club. This time keeping the stakes high is Peru-born duo made up of Rafael Pereira and Felipe Salmon aka Dengue Dengue Dengue, coming up with a contagious psychedelia infused instalment. The mysterious masked duo boasts a unique fusion of music, deeply rooted into the Peruvian rich musical heritage. Dragoș Rusu, co-founder and co-editor in chief of The Attic is joining the lineup, along Andreea Veder, Black Rhino Radio broadcaster and soulful DJ venturing on eclectic music endeavours.

Experiments in Dub creates a bridge between all sorts of rhythms driven by the sub-frequencies of the bass.

We’re setting up for a pulsing dancefloor on the 4th Black Rhino Radio Residency at Control Club! Bridging past and future in a blend of ancient sounds & electronica, the night will be fueled by AMMAR 808. All-around praised Tunisian producer comes packed with the ultra low bass rumble of a TR-808 & a bag full of Arabic & Indian sounds. Fellow voyagers in this sonic adventure are radio’s broadcasters Dubase, Puiu & Esqu, each infusing various rhythms in a synergetic experience.

We are delighted to introduce a project we have been working on for more than six months - More Than a Hustle, a new series developed and produced by Black Rhino Radio & presented by glo™ .

On our 3rd instalment at Club Control, we bridge drum and bass and techno by inviting Pessimist and Shifted as two artists who explore through their releases and label both sides of the genres. Local broadcasters Chlorys and djfacmuzica join the lineup for opening and closing the night.

Pe 10 decembrie, Reg prezintă expoziția “First Petite Solo”, o retrospectivă a parcursului său artistic de la graffiti, ilustrații și artă murală până la design grafic și typography. Expoziția include obiecte care urmăresc parcursul artistic a lui Reg și definesc universul din care se inspiră.

Black Rhino Radio's next installment at Control focuses on some of the radio's broadcasters. So, on the 26th of November, a special blend of electronic music comes from the careful selection of Alecsey, Cocco Mio, Dannilov, and Low Freq.

Shout to all the ravers and dancefloor lovers. The first event from Black Rhino Residency at Club Control focuses on jungle music, a culture that left a strong imprint on electronic music and influenced many musical genres. On the 15th of October, we invite London's friendliest crew of jungle music - Mantra, Double O, and Blackeye MC, representing RUPTURE, an event series and music label promoting jungle music for 16 years. The opening and closing of the event will be the responsibilities of radio broadcasters Fane and Matei.

”From The Shadows I Strike With Nothing But Love” aduce la viață o serie de imagini care fac parte din arhiva personală de fotografii din ultimii 4 ani. Expoziția cuprinde lucrări foto și o coloană sonoră (ambele produse de artist), care împreună crează o experiență imersivă și autentică. Niciuna dintre fotografiile selectate nu au văzut lumina printului până acum, iar coloana sonoră va fi compusă special pentru acest proiect. 

Expoziția Urban Fiction semnată de Local Design Circle deschide un nou eveniment din seria OUT OF NOWHERE. Creativitatea scenei urbane capătă o nouă formă de exprimare vizuală prin intermediul designului. O serie de printuri, sculpturi, și instalații prezintă viziunea și interpretarea membrilor Local Design Circle asupra orașului și a manifestărilor sale culturale.

Fotograful Sorin Mihai Calițescu semnează I See Ghosts - un nou eveniment expozițional din seria OUT OF NOWHERE. Cu rădăcini putenic încastrate în străzile orașului, Sorin documentează fotografic spațiul urban, cu oamenii și obiectele care îl compun.

Seria OUT OF NOWHERE se deschide cu expoziția ”in the back of my mind” semnată de fotograful și artistul multidisciplinar Andrei Șerban.

Black Rhino Radio și glo™ încep seria de expoziții OUT OF NOWHERE. Pe durata proiectului studioul Black Rhino Radio se transformă într-un spațiu expozițional, deschis publicului larg, cu scopul de a promova tineri artiști din zona artelor vizuale. 

Black Rhino Radio partners with glo, and presents glo Creative Camp Talks, a series of interviews that emphasize the camp experience. The camp's first week was all about hip-hop. Mcs, producers, and instrumentists joined the glo Creative Camp to remix a track.

On the 13th of August, Black Rhina Radio goes to Cluj for a special session at Casa Tiff (Melo Melanj Record Shop). Surrounded by old and new friends, we will host an 11 hours video and audio stream with music carefully selected by local hosts such as Blanilla, Dijital Selekta, Dubik, Jhu, Musai, Plus, Puiu, Sugar, WRK, ZO.

On the 27th of February Commodo will be our guest for the montly residence we have in Expirat Club.  The lineup fill is secured by Low Freq b2b Loose, Eye Ark b2b Delir.

Our first session in 2020 is bringing the infamous Dj Youngsta and Sgt. Pokes in Bucharest, at club Expirat on the 30th of January. The lineup is competed by Low Freq W/ Mc Vapor and Concept (SubGiurgiu crew).

or our next monthly sessions in Expirat Club we have invited the veteran Dj and music producer Sukh Knight. With a long history in club music scene and electronic music, Sukh Knight is one of those Djs who understands the dancefloor. Local support is coming from Romanian DJ and producer Alienmade and Dj Agmantav. 

First event for our monthly sessions in club Expirat is bringing the versatile Bristol duo Kahn and Neek. With a diverse music selection their sets are always bringing the element of surprise. Each session is unique, so be sure not to miss their first appearance in Romania. 

Next guest for our monthly residence in club Expirat are the legendary Mungo's Hi Fi. With an arsenal of bass heavy dubs ranging from roots to steppas, dancehall to dub reggae, expect an education in the elements of a sound that has inspired a movement from world famous Glaswegian selectors Mungo’s Hi-Fi.
