For our #21 Residency in Control Club, we invited the South African sound system operator and selector Kebra Etiopia for an extented 3 hours set.
Kebra Ethiopia is one of the country’s leading sound systems and is run by selector and operator Doc Inity who made a relevant contribution to the local community. Kebra Ethiopia (glory to Africa) sound system plays reggae music that concerns socio-economic issues, ghetto living, equality, Rastafari livity, and pan-African teachings in community parks or township streets of Johannesburg. They hold monthly events as a form of community self-care. And the music serves as a social commentary.
