ZIMBRU
w/ Electric Brother
On Earth Day, the song “Zimbru”, signed by Electric Brother & George Vlad, is heard for the first time on the radio. Built on the basis of sounds recorded in the Vânători Neamț Natural Park, the song proposes an orchestra of the forest, water and animals that populate one of the best preserved forest ecosystems in Europe.
The creative process started from the dozens of hours of field recordings made by George Vlad in the Vânători Neamț Natural Park. Cristian Ștefănescu, aka Electric Brother, listened to these materials and built a song in which each sound from nature occupies a precise role, as in a classical orchestra.
Electric Brother shares: “We used sounds from nature as instruments, transforming bird calls into musical themes, sounds from the forest into percussion passages, and the bison appears as a soloist or as the star of the song”.
